We are recruiting for Teaching Assistant to work across years 3-6 on a full time basis at a lovely primary school in Ilkeston, Derbyshire The position will start immediately for the right candidate The school are looking to appoint enthusiastic and motivated Teaching Assistant. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one and group support to children exhibiting challenging behaviour Develop and implement personalised behaviour plans Monitor progress and maintain records of behavioural interventions Work collaboratively with staff and parents to ensure a consistent approach to behaviour management Lead small group sessions to develop social skills, emotional regulation, and self-confidence Offer guidance and support to staff on best practices for behaviour management Requirements: The ability to create a happy, challenging, and effective learning environment. Experience working with children in a primary school or similar setting Helpful, positive, calm, and caring nature. Excellent speaking and listening skills. Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures. Enhanced DBS or be willing to obtain one. Will have a Teaching Assistant qualification, though this is not essential Are able to multitask and prioritise tasks in order of importance Please note - to qualify for the higher end of the pay scale you must have at least two years' experience working within an Early Years environment.
