A leading multi-discipline practice in Essex is looking to grow their H&S division with the addition of a Health & Safety CDM Consultant.
The consultancy prides themselves on delivering accurate construction advice across the built environment. The work is diverse the division operates across multiple sectors including commercial, residential, education and healthcare. Project values range from £100k – £2.5 million.
The opportunity is to collaborate with different teams and individuals within the building consultancy division. You will work on exclusive structures, be responsible for liaising with important stakeholders and deliver programmes from inception to completion.
We are looking for a confident client facing professional who has strong technical knowledge. This role is ideal for a CDM Consultant who is ambitious, you will be offered the chance to achieve full Partnership status through a career development programme.
Responsibilities
Complying with the responsibilities of the principal designer under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (“CDM 2015”).
Informing and assisting clients in discharging their duties at each stage of the process under CDM 2015.
Visiting sites and carrying out an initial appraisal to establish existing hazards and site restrictions.
Attendance at design team meetings, workshops, and project progress meetings.
Setting up the design risk register and carrying out CDM design reviews / workshops.
Assist designers to design out risk and maintain design risk register.
Preparation of RIBA Stage CDM / Principal Designer reports.
Advising and assisting clients in the appointment of designers and contractors
Preparation and issue of the Pre Construction Information.
Submission of the F10 Notification to the HSE and review of Construction Phase Plans prior to works starting on site.
Carrying out site inspections during the construction phase to monitor compliance.
Undertaking site H&S inspections and report writing.
Assist with the writing of risk assessments and safe systems of work for clients.CDM Consultant
Minimum of 18 month in a similar role.
NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent.
NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent (desirable but not required).
Membership to IOSH, APS, IIRSM or similar professional body.
Excellent understanding of 2015 CDM Regulations.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills.In return
