A versatile General Assistant is required to join our friendly team at our small, central, family-run hotel to cover breakfast service and housekeeping.
Breakfast duties include setting up breakfast buffet, taking guest orders, breakfast service, clearing and setting tables, dishwasher operation and general light cleaning duties.
Housekeeping duties include cleaning and preparation of guest bedrooms, cleaning bathrooms leaving them sparkling clean, assisting with laundry and general light cleaning throughout the building.
A friendly outgoing personality, a customer-orientated ‘can do’ attitude, good communication skills and attention to details are essential in making our guests feel welcome and looked after and for you to fit in with our dedicated hospitality team.
Like any hospitality environment we do have busy days however we always ensure that the atmosphere in our kitchen and housekeeping departments is a relaxed, non-pressured and supportive environment to ensure pleasant, stress-free working conditions for all staff.
A good general fitness level is required. Previous experience in a hospitality setting is an advantage, although not essential as full training will be provided. Your outlook and attitude to customer service and guest satisfaction takes precedence over any lack of experience. A good knowledge of English is essential to deal with our guests' requirements.
This is a temporary position, available from April until October, with possible permanent option. Applicants must have a National Insurance number, and must be available for interview in person.
Hours will vary, from 7.30am daily, 4/5 days from 7, including some weekends, with breakfast provided. Competitive hourly rate exceeds National Minimum Wage, statutory paid holidays, share of guest tips and end of season bonus. Automatic enrolment into pension scheme available. Staff accommodation is not available.
