Barista & Front of House
Chapel Coffee was established by Crown & Canvas Coffee Roasters in November 2023 as our first coffee shop outside of our existing wholesale partner program. Since its opening, it has grown to establish itself as the spot to go to for specialty coffee, food, cakes, pastries & more in the area.
We're looking for someone to join our team to help during our busiest periods (Thursday - Saturday 9-3) with potential for more opportunities/hours in the future.
We're seeking an individual with a genuine enthusiastic outlook on service, specialty coffee & high-quality food, to join our team in a dynamic flexible role working on our bar making/serving coffee, working the floor of our shop, and assisting in the pot wash section of our kitchen.
Responsibilities:
1. Coffee Preparation and Quality Control: Prepare and serve coffee using various brewing methods to a high standard. Collaborate with our roastery to demonstrate product knowledge and understanding while providing excellent service to a diverse range of customers.
2. Customer Service: Utilise your unique personality to connect with our customers, understanding their needs and requirements on a variety of product offerings from food, drinks & retail products and striving to make everyone's day better.
3. Cafe Space Maintenance and Upkeep: Keep your station and the general cafe space and service area clean and tidy, maintaining presentation and upkeep of service, equipment, and cafe cleanliness.
4. Kitchen & FOH Help: Serve food to tables and assist in the pot wash.
We're looking for someone experienced in coffee to join our team and jump straight in, but support on all of the above will be provided by the leadership team who will work closely with you to ensure you're supported and trained to our quality level.
Requirements:
* Experience in the food & coffee sector, including coffee preparation using various brewing methods with a focus on quality and execution.
* Strong passion and enthusiasm for customer service and coffee, with a keen interest in sharing your personality, experience, and knowledge with others, including staff and customers.
* Ability to work within a team, answering to our supervisor to execute a vision of creating a high-quality product, brand, and experience.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From £11.50 per hour
Expected hours: 18 – 20 per week
