A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SALES OFFICE MANAGER AT CROWNE PLAZA READING What you'll be doing Reporting to the Director of Sales, you can expect your working day to include the following: (Fixed Term: 12 Month Maternity Cover) Ensure the smooth running of the Sales & Reservations department on a day-to-day basis, liaising between clients and all departments. Provide mentoring, coaching and regular feedback to improve and manage team performance. To support the Director of Sales with show rounds, proposals, and upselling. Assess and respond to client inquiries in a prompt and professional manner. Provide courteous and efficient service in bookings for rooms and food & beverage outlets and secure business at all times. Provide fast, professional and friendly service to guests and customers by handling reservations, group bookings and contracts. Create reservations and input via both telephone and email according to room and rate availability, ensuring that full and accurate details are obtained. Deal with travel agent bookings, vouchers and credit requests, ensuring that the hotel’s policy is adhered to at all times. Accurate and timely responses to guests, clients and agents in line with our brand standards. Update reservations, to input and record cancellations and amendments, making sure all bookings are accurate. To assist colleagues and other members of staff to create teamwork and quality service through communication. To adopt a ‘can do' attitude towards all aspects of customer service through a proactive and flexible approach to meeting customer needs. The successful applicant for this role will deliver excellent customer service, have a positive ‘can do' attitude, be willing to learn and show that they care.
