Job summary Public Health Wales' Evidence Service is seeking to appoint a Senior Evidence and Knowledge Analyst to support our team. The position will be based in our Public Health Wales NHS Trust Offices in Cardiff, or Swansea, with optional hybrid working. Main duties of the job The post holder will have a range of responsibilities within the Evidence Service team including delivering excellence in public health evidence, promoting effective use of evidence for public health action and innovating in the delivery of evidence services and products. This work also includes providing a coherent, responsive and accessible service as well as providing information and evidence support skills development. The job involves undertaking comprehensive searches and reviews, assessing the relevance and quality of the evidence & contributing to the interpretation of the evidence in context. The post holder may take a lead role for a particular public health specialist area and/or developing a particular expertise in one or more discrete areas of health intelligence/knowledge management. The post holder may also be responsible for helping to ensure the delivery of an effective public health evidence service to a health board within the local geographical area. Where applicable, the post holder will help to guide the work of more junior team members. This post involves working closely with other senior team members to help the Evidence Service develop into a well-recognised and respected body which is at the forefront of public health evidence and knowledge management.
