We're excited to recruit for this role at Golding and appoint an Assurance and Controls Advisor to join our Governance and Compliance department.
What you'll be doing
As part of our team, you will play a crucial role in developing and managing assurance frameworks and internal controls, identifying any gaps or weaknesses and recommending corrective actions, to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.
This role involves monitoring operational processes, identifying areas for improvement, and supporting the reporting of governance and compliance metrics, ensuring alignment between compliance findings and strategic performance objectives.
You will support the Data Protection Officer (DPO) in ensuring GDPR compliance and adhering to other data-related regulations.
More about you. What can you bring?
We’re looking for someone with experience in internal auditing, risk management, or compliance within a regulated environment, preferably in the housing or public sector.
You'll have a strong understanding of quality assurance frameworks, internal controls, and compliance processes and be proactive in identifying and addressing operational inefficiencies and risks.
Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and process compliance, you'll have the ability to identify trends and issues from data & reports and be able to liaise effectively with senior leadership, internal teams, and external auditors.
Knowledge of governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance is desirable.
When and where you'll be doing it
You will enjoy a 37-hour working week and earn an annual salary of £40,300 per annum dependent upon your knowledge, skills and experience.
