The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, servicing, and maintenance of various fire detection and security systems, including: Fire alarm systems Intruder alarms CCTV systems Access control systems Emergency lighting This role is ideal for an experienced professional looking to work with cutting-edge technology while ensuring the highest level of safety and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities Install and commission fire and security systems at commercial and residential properties. Conduct thorough system testing to ensure compliance with client and regulatory standards. Provide client training on system operation and functionality. Perform routine maintenance and reactive servicing on all fire and security systems. Inspect systems proactively to identify and resolve issues before they escalate. Troubleshoot and repair faults in fire and security systems with minimal disruption to clients. Respond promptly to emergency service calls and ensure quick resolutions. Offer recommendations to enhance system performance, safety, and reliability. Ensure all work adheres to industry regulations, including: BS5839 (Fire Alarms) BS EN 50131 (Intruder Alarms) BS 5266 (Emergency Lighting) Complete detailed reports on work completed, system performance, and compliance. Provide ongoing support and guidance to clients regarding system operation and maintenance. Conduct risk assessments and implement necessary safety precautions. Essential Skills & Experience Proven experience in installing, maintaining, and servicing fire and security systems. Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulations. Excellent fault diagnosis and problem-solving skills. Full UK driving licence with flexibility to travel between client sites. Desirable Skills & Experience Electrical experience related to fire and security systems. Certifications such as City & Guilds Level 3, NICEIC, or FIA qualifications.
