Role
The tasks include building training and education infrastructure and strategy in the APAC region, being responsible for the creation, implementation and tracking of educational programs, focusing on the market needs and aligned with the business strategies.
The Head of Training and Education is responsible to guide the strategy behind the educational programs in APAC, ensuring that needs in regional markets are addressed by the programs. Quality and effectiveness of courses, implementation of planned activities, resource planning, and know-how will be monitored by the professional, guaranteeing that the programs are in line with the guidelines provided by the global headquarters.
Tasks
1. Develop and implement the APAC training and education strategy aligned with the company's global vision and regional business objectives.
2. Lead the creation of training programs that cater to dental professionals, universities, and students, focusing on basic and advanced clinical techniques, product usage, and continuing education.
3. Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product management teams to align education initiatives with regional business growth plans.
Team Leadership
1. Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team of training specialists, clinical educators, and support staff across APAC.
2. Ensure consistency and quality in training delivery across diverse markets within the region.
Designing and Implementation of Educational Programs
1. Design and manage training curricula, including e-learning modules, in-person workshops, seminars, and conferences.
2. Establish partnerships with dental schools, professional organizations, and key opinion leaders (KOLs) to drive educational outreach.
3. Stay updated on clinical advancements, industry trends, and competitor education programs to ensure content relevance.
Stakeholders Engagement
1. Serve as a regional ambassador for the company's education initiatives, strengthening relationships with dental professionals and institutions.
2. Work closely with global training teams to adapt materials and programs to APAC-specific needs and implement them in a scalable way.
KOL Development and Management
1. Foster a community of Key Opinion Leaders in APAC, gathering professionals with different backgrounds and profiles.
2. Work with local organizations to create speaking opportunities for the speakers, in APAC and globally.
3. Be a liaison between local markets and global KOLs.
4. Disseminate and ensure a culture of compliance and standardization when engaging KOLs.
Educational Events
1. Responsible for the scientific program of regional events, collaborating with the team to ensure a diverse and interesting line-up of speakers and topics.
2. Propose speakers, topics, and workshop sessions that are in line with the business strategies and customers’ needs and interests.
Customer and Internal Trainings
1. Be the technical main contact person for corporate customers, universities, and local trainers at subsidiaries in the region.
2. Guarantee the compliance of the internal trainings.
3. Onboard relevant new joiners in the APAC team.
Performance Measurement
1. Manage the regional training and education budget, ensuring cost-effective execution of programs.
2. Ensure all educational activities comply with local regulations, professional standards, and company policies.
Qualification
Education / Professional Experience
1. Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, DDS, PhD) preferred.
2. 10+ years of professional experience in adult education, training, or clinical roles within the dental or healthcare industry.
3. Proven track record in leadership roles, preferably with regional or global responsibilities.
4. Clinical experience with dental implants is a plus.
Personal / Competencies
1. Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills with fluency in English. Proficiency in Asian languages is a plus.
2. Well-organized and structured person.
3. Comfortable to interact with different customer segments (KOLs, Deans, Professors, Dental Practitioners, Dental Technicians, Dental Assistants).
4. Ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders across different levels of the organization.
5. Team player.
6. Passion for education and advancing professional standards in Dentistry.
7. High cultural intelligence and ability to work effectively in a diverse, multinational environment.
