Join our established Environmental Impact (EIA) team, comprising over 165 staff across the UK and Ireland, where you will work alongside technical experts. We are a founding member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA) EIA Quality Mark, aligning with our ESG strategy.
We offer flexible office locations nationwide including Basingstoke, Belfast, Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Chesterfield, Croydon, Edinburgh, Exeter, Glasgow, Leeds, London Aldgate, Manchester, Newcastle, Nottingham, Plymouth, St Albans, Warrington, and hybrid working options.
This role provides an opportunity to manage environmental aspects of large-scale infrastructure projects, such as:
* Energy projects (renewables, hydrogen, carbon capture)
* Energy transmission and distribution (e.g., Great Grid Upgrade)
* Carbon pipelines, rail, highway, regeneration, ecommerce, minerals, waste, water, defense, aviation, commercial, residential, and industrial sectors
Responsibilities include:
* Providing expertise: Managing environmental inputs for EIA reports, assessments, and supporting documents across project stages from strategy to operation, covering various consenting regimes.
* Ensuring quality: Producing high-quality, compliant deliverables with attention to detail.
* Project management: Managing resources and budgets effectively.
* Collaborating: Working with design teams to improve environmental outcomes, identifying impact mitigation opportunities.
* Client contact: Managing client relationships and internal teams.
* Growth: Promoting services, leading business development and proposal efforts.
Qualifications:
* Experience in managing multidisciplinary environmental inputs for infrastructure projects.
* Understanding of EIA processes, legislation, and licensing regimes.
* Stakeholder engagement skills.
* Teamwork and technical review capabilities.
* Project management skills, including scheduling and budgeting.
* Degree in environmental discipline (Masters preferred) and professional membership.
* Willingness to travel.
Preferred:
* Chartered Environmentalist status.
* Interest in management and mentoring roles.
* Experience with DCO/TWAO regimes.
