Job Title: Contracts Engineer
Location: Scarborough (UK);
Mission: Lead and drive engineered orders. Accountable for providing solutions to customers using advanced project delivery expertise for multiple large, complex, or multi-business projects to meet customer satisfaction. Coordinates order delivery strategy, minimizes commercial risk whilst maximizing order revenue, GM growth, and cash flow.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Process, administrate, and coordinate customer orders from receipt to dispatch, ensuring they are delivered on time, to customer specification, and within budget.
2. Interpret technical requirements, prepare and submit contract documentation as appropriate, i.e., creating electrical scheme/wiring diagrams using AutoCAD, contract reports, O&M Manuals.
3. Liaise with customers regarding all elements of the project including approvals, variation instructions, deliveries, site work, customer inspections, and/or maintenance of ongoing framework contracts.
4. Manage customer projects to business and customer requirements, liaising closely with supporting Tendering, Production, and Sales teams.
5. Provide feedback to Team Manager on current performance.
6. Ensure project performance is achieved through thorough timely contract reviews and ensure risk is managed to business objectives, both commercially and technically.
7. Check the work in progress through review meetings, feedback any positive/negative deviations for next bid submission.
8. Ensure departmental KPIs are met.
Skills and Attributes:
1. More than 3 years' experience within a customer-centric role.
2. Demonstrable experience within a technical role.
Education:
1. A minimum of 5 GCSE's (or equivalent), at Grade 4 or above including Maths (higher paper), English, and a science-related subject.
2. HNC level/ level 6 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
