Job Description
Are you interested in being a key player in our exciting initiative to support the whole organisation to lift its ability to respond effectively to underlying trauma and other psychological issues within our drug and alcohol services?
At WithYou, we use our expertise to deliver support and raise awareness around drugs, alcohol and mental health, to enable people to have greater choice about their lives, free of problematic substance use.
You will hold a specialist caseload of clients with co-existing substance use and domestic abuse.
DAPO has launched as a pilot in Wigan and Leigh.
DAPO is a Domestic Abuse Protection Order, and it will be the first order available in all courts: police can apply to the magistrates’ court, and victims and third parties to the family court. In addition, victims can apply in ongoing family and civil proceedings. Courts can make a DAPO of their own volition in criminal, family, and specified civil proceedings.
A core feature and advantage of the DAPO is the ability to impose positive requirements, mandating the perpetrator to take an action. What that means, is that a perpetrator can be mandated to engage in treatment with With You, for a decided amount of sessions.
This Recovery Worker role will case manage the referrals and cases linked to DAPO, and act as the responsible person, leading on communication on DAPO progress. The worker will be required to assess suitability for support, agree a recovery journey, and complete court reports within a required timescale and report any breaches to DAPO.

Please note this is a Fixed Term Contract until 31st March 2026.
