Are you an experienced leader passionate about creating a safe, fun, and enriching environment for children with learning disabilities? Guild Care is looking for a Children's Day Service Manager to lead our Ashdown Children’s Centre, ensuring our Ofsted-registered short breaks respite service provides exceptional care, support, and experiences for children and young people.
What You’ll Be Doing
As Day Service Manager, you’ll play a crucial role in shaping a high-quality, person-centred service. You’ll:
* Lead & Inspire: Manage and motivate a team of Session Leaders, Play Workers, and Volunteers, ensuring a welcoming and engaging environment.
* Deliver Exceptional Care: Oversee daily operations, ensuring children and young people have access to enriching activities, friendships, and meaningful experiences.
* Ensure Excellence: Maintain Ofsted, safeguarding, and health & safety compliance, delivering services that meet the highest standards.
* Drive Improvement: Monitor quality, implement service development plans, and ensure policies and procedures are up to date.
* Build Partnerships: Work closely with families, professionals, and external agencies to deliver outstanding care and support.
* Manage Resources: Oversee staffing, rotas, and budgets to ensure effective service delivery.

Desired Criteria
* A relevant professional qualification.
* Experience in health, social care, or the voluntary sector.
Required Criteria
* Proven management experience in a children’s Ofsted-registered service.
* Strong knowledge of learning disabilities, safeguarding, and positive behaviour support.
* Ability to lead and inspire a team, ensuring high-quality care and support.
* Experience in staff supervision, rota planning, and absence management.
* IT literacy and excellent communication skills.
* Ability to work flexibly, including some weekend hours.
* A satisfactory DBS check.
