Our client, an award-winning sustainable housing developer is seeking to recruit a Financial Director based in Belfast.
As the Finance Director you will play the pivotal role in managing the financial activities and ensuring the financial health of the organisation. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of financial planning, reporting, governance, risk management, and profitability improvement.
The Finance Director is accountable for ensuring that there is sufficient funding available to meet the growth ambitions of the company. This requires exploring the market to find appropriate sources of funding, promote schemes to potential investors and maintain excellent relationships with all funding partners.
The role is further accountable for corporate services including HR compliance, employee engagement and IT.
The Person:
* Degree in accounting, finance or a related field
* Professional Accounting Qualification
* Minimum of 4 years of senior financial management experience, preferably in the construction industry or a related sector.
* Proven track record of managing financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
* Raising Finance for an SME
* Proficiency in preparing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, adhering to relevant accounting standards.
* Demonstrated experience in budget preparation, monitoring, and forecasting to ensure financial targets are met and to provide strategic insights
* Ability to implement and maintain robust cost control measures to optimize project profitability and minimize financial risks.
* Highly experienced in managing cash flow effectively, including monitoring inflows and outflows, forecasting cash requirements, and optimizing working capital.
