Due to increased business, this not-for-profit is looking for a well-rounded Finance Assistant to join them on a fixed-term contract, expected to last six to nine months, and introduced to support the wider finance team and alleviate the workload. Work hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, 35 hours per week Salary: £24,000 pro rata 25 days holiday, pro rata Hybrid working, with two days in the office Free parking Finance Assistant Responsibilities: Support the finance team with regular auditing, compiling data and documentation Liaise with customers, suppliers, and internally to effectively resolve queries Process invoices and handle any queries relating to invoices Perform occasional credit control duties Assist the accounts payable and accounts receivable function Reconcile the bank Ensure all financial transactions are recorded Input financial information accurately Provide ad-hoc support within the finance department, where necessary Finance Assistant Skills and Experience: Immediately available Prior experience in finance and accounting is essential and familiar with all aspects of finance Demonstrates good all-round finance skills and enjoys being hands-on Capable of picking up on a variety of tasks and happy to support all aspects of the finance team Proficient in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills Good organisation skills, able to work to deadlines and juggle multiple projects and priorities Meticulous with a good attention to detail
