We’re looking for a strategic and hands-on leader to take ownership of their Food Safety & Quality Management System, ensuring excellence across the board. Key Responsibilities: Work closely with senior site management to shape business strategy, ensuring customer needs are met while driving business growth. Lead the development of a strong Food Safety Culture, maintaining and enhancing our Food Safety & Quality Management Plan in line with industry standards and regulations. Own and evolve the Food Safety & Quality Management System, spearheading initiatives to enhance efficiency, safety, and compliance. Guide, mentor, and develop the QA team and wider site teams, fostering collaboration and driving professional growth. Take the lead on all certification standards, FSS, and customer audits, ensuring we exceed compliance expectations. Build and maintain strong customer relationships, swiftly managing and resolving complaints while ensuring continuous improvement. Implement and maintain robust validation and verification systems to ensure production meets all quality standards and import regulations. Deliver clear, insightful technical reports to both internal stakeholders and customers. Regularly review and refine technical policies, procedures, and standards to stay ahead of legislative changes and industry advancements. Build strong relationships with key industry bodies, including regulatory authorities, laboratories, and service providers. Support managers in employee relations matters, monitor absenteeism, and champion animal welfare. Serve as the site’s HACCP and TACCP Team Leader, ensuring proactive risk management and compliance. About you: Previous experience in a similar role or as a direct report to a Technical Manager within a larger site. Hands-on experience in a fresh food factory environment, specifically working with red or white meat. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to delegate effectively and build strong working relationships. Excellent planning and organizational abilities, with the flexibility to adapt to evolving business needs. A dynamic and motivated approach, focused on delivering results in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
