Salary Range: £90 - £100 per day (Depending on experience)

Are you a caring and experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?
If so, GSL Education are looking for a Year 3 Teaching Assistant who is required in a modern school in Newham to provide dedicated support to SEN learners. This is a long-term, full-time role starting in January 2025.
About the role:
As a Year 3 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide essential support to students with SEN, especially those with ASD. You will work closely with the teacher to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment, assisting students in reaching their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally.
Responsibilities of the Teaching Assistant:
Provide tailored one-to-one and small group support to children with SEN, particularly those with ASD.
Assist in creating and delivering engaging learning activities in line with the students’ needs.
Help to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and monitor progress.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages learning and personal growth.
Support students’ personal care needs, including nappy changing, with dignity and respect.
Communicate effectively with the class teacher, SENCO, and parents regarding student progress.
Promote the social, emotional, and academic development of all learners.
Requirements of the Teaching Assistant:
Prior experience working in a primary school setting is essential.
Proven experience supporting children with SEN, particularly ASD.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to support students' personal care needs, including nappy changing.
A proactive and compassionate approach to working with children.
Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
