TeacherActive are recruiting for strong SEN Tutors in the South East London area.
In this role, you will be working on a one to one basis, or in small groups with pupils that have SEMH and ASD needs. This may be in education settings or other venues - such as libraries or at the home of the pupil.
Responsibilities:
1. Deliver 1:1 or small group tutoring.
2. Work independently in the home or other venues.
3. Connect with children and families effectively to build trusting relationships.
4. Demonstrate excellent KS3/KS4 curriculum knowledge.
5. Differentiating curriculum in a creative and bespoke manner.
6. Adapt to various working environments and students with differing abilities.
7. Provide a practical approach to the needs of students with learning difficulties and disabilities.
Minimum Requirements:
1. An undergraduate degree and/or prior experience working alongside pupils with SEND.
2. Good general education levels in English and Maths.
3. Knowledge or understanding of SEMH, ASC, and challenging behaviour.
4. Good interpersonal and communication skills with a caring attitude.
5. Flexibility in terms of working patterns.
