Key Responsibilities
* Independently perform daily setting out tasks with minimal supervision.
* Provide training, guidance, and mentorship to Junior Engineers, fostering their development.
* Oversee and track all site sample and performance testing, ensuring compliance with contract specifications and maintaining accurate records.
* Conduct hazard and risk assessments, along with preparing method statements for safe execution of work.
* Manage site service plans and drawings, ensuring proper permit issuance in accordance with project requirements.
* Collaborate with the Site QS and Project Manager to supply necessary information for record-keeping and claims purposes.
* Monitor and manage the implementation of temporary works, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
* Cultivate and maintain effective working relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
* Ensure all activities align with quality, safety, and environmental policies, as well as company procedures.
What do we need from you?
* Proactive problem-solving abilities and confident communication skills.
* Ability to effectively liaise with a range of professionals across various disciplines.
* Extensive experience in setting out for infrastructure projects, including highways, roads, and earthworks.
* Proficiency in working with Leica/Geomax surveying equipment and transferring information from AutoCAD to surveying tools.
* Strong understanding of Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and quality assurance processes.
* Leadership skills with the ability to manage and guide teams.
* Solid understanding of construction practices and project execution.
* Full UK driving license and willingness to travel throughout the Eastern region.
* Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK
* First Aid at Work qualification (desirable).
