Job Overview
We are recruiting for a Registered Nurse - Outpatients who shares our vision to provide consistent outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
The department is a busy and diverse area with specialties including General Surgery, General Medicine, Neurology, and Urology. If you are seeking a new challenge in your nursing career, this could be the opportunity for you.

Main Duties of the Job
As a member of the Outpatients nursing team, you will have various opportunities to develop your nursing skills and knowledge in the Outpatients Department.
* Provide a high standard of research-based patient care.
* Support the team in delivering a quality service linked to high standards of patient care.
* Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care needs of patients attending the Outpatients Department, involving patients and their relatives/carers.
* Communicate effectively and work in partnership with patients, nursing colleagues, the Multidisciplinary Team, and other relevant personnel.

Person Specification
Qualifications / Training
* Registered Nurse on part 1, part 2, or part 12 of the NMC register.
* Commitment to lifelong learning.
* Evidence of further education, training, and ongoing learning.
* Ability to produce an updated personal professional portfolio.
* Evidence of Assessing and Mentorship qualification.
* Evidence of appropriate Specialist Qualification.
Previous Experience
* Previous experience of working in a ward/department care environment.
* Currently working in an acute ward environment within the NHS.
* Experience of supporting students/clinical support workers within the NHS.
Skills
* Evidence of good communication skills both written and verbal.
* Ability to work within a team.
* Good organizational skills.
* Ability to prioritize and organize workload.
* Flexibility around working hours.
* Venepuncture.
* Cannulation.
Knowledge
* Awareness of strategies for maintaining a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
* Knowledge of appropriate specialist nursing care requirements.
