About the role: Housing Options and Support is looking for an Accommodation Procurement and Options Service Manager (PO7) to lead the teams responsible for the procurement and allocation of temporary accommodation and private rented accommodation to homeless households. You will have detailed knowledge of statutory duties relevant to this area of work, and of working effectively with a broad range of stakeholders including other Council services and external organisations such as private sector landlords and letting agents. >> Click here to download the Role Profile INTERNAL CANDIDATES ONLY Key Responsibilities: To develop, deliver and promote the procurement, allocation and management of competitively priced temporary and settled accommodation, across a range of schemes, provided by registered providers, private sector, and other types of landlords. To strategically manage, develop, organise, and control a professional service area ensuring the delivery of the service meets all Council, professional and legislative requirements. Direct line reports: Accommodation Placements Manager Temporary Accommodation Reduction Manager Accommodation Procurement Manager Indirect reports: Accommodation Placements Team (5 FTE) Temporary Accommodation Reduction Team (4 FTE) Accommodation Procurement Team (4.5 FTE) Qualifications and Requirements: Detailed knowledge of homelessness legislation, guidance and caselaw, and knowledge of the broader housing environment including welfare benefits. Extensive experience of leading teams and/or services to deliver outcomes in a resident focused environment.
