Our Estate Cleaning Team is looking to appoint a cleaner on our estates to assist in maintaining the high standards already achieved on our estates, sheltered housing schemes, and corporate buildings.
The main duties of the role include:
1. General cleaning of buildings on our estates.
2. Assisting in other areas of the service throughout the borough.
3. Helping at other sites during peak times to cover absence or annual leave.
Reporting to the Caretaking Supervisor, you will be part of the Assets cleaning team, ensuring that the estates are cleaned to a high standard, maintaining a clean, attractive, and safe environment.
Some cleaning may be carried out in difficult conditions such as poor weather. You will be required to comply with the Council's health and safety procedures. An understanding of COSHH regulations, basic cleaning procedures, and safe systems of work would be an advantage but is not essential, as full training will be given.
The successful candidate must have the confidence to work on their own initiative and be capable of delivering the required standards throughout the borough.
We offer an extensive benefits package including flexible working, a non-contributory health scheme, Local Government pension scheme, generous holiday entitlement, discounted gym membership, and payment of professional fees (where applicable). For further details, please refer to the application information document on our website.
Appointment will be subject to satisfactory references, right to work in the UK check, medical clearance, and DBS check.
For an informal discussion regarding this role, please contact Tracey Clarke, Cleaning Supervisor, on 07528630016.
