New Directions Education are looking to recruit a PE Teacher to work across secondary schools in the Conwy area.
The ideal candidate will have experience in taking on different roles and responsibilities, including leadership, coaching and officiating. You will make the activities fun, competitive and cooperative all at the same time, encouraging teamwork and friendships, while still keeping the students active. You will be interested in kinesthetic learning and unlocking the body’s movement potential in conjunction with intellectual challenges.

Job Specification
We have regular supply teaching jobs for physical education (PE) teachers available to qualified teachers who can teach Key Stage 3 (KS3), Key Stage 4 (KS4) and possibly Key Stage 5 (KS5).
Newly qualified teachers (NQTs) looking for teaching work in PE should also register with us.
As a PE teacher you’ll be expected to:
1. Teach all areas of the school curriculum or your subject specialism
2. Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment
3. Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges
4. Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation
5. Maintain discipline
6. Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils’ development
7. Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
8. Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
9. Take part in school events and activities which may take place at weekends or in the evening
10. Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly within smaller schools
