We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. Duties
1. Provide patient care, including assistance with personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
2. Administer medication as prescribed and monitor the health status of clients.
3. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs.
4. Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
5. Assist with heavy lifting when required, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
6. Support individuals in assisted living or home care settings, promoting independence while ensuring safety.
7. Engage in childcare activities when applicable, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children.
8. Provide hospice care support for terminally ill clients and their families during difficult times.
9. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in client conditions to appropriate personnel.
Skills
1. Strong skills in patient care with a focus on empathy and compassion.
2. Proficiency in first aid techniques to respond effectively to emergencies.
3. Experience in childcare, demonstrating the ability to engage with children positively.
4. Knowledge of home care practices and assisted living environments.
5. Familiarity with hospice care principles is advantageous.
6. Ability to prepare healthy meals that cater to specific dietary requirements.
7. Capability for heavy lifting as needed while adhering to safety guidelines.
8. Competence in medication administration with attention to detail.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £11.50-£12.50 per hour
Expected hours: 44 per week

Shift: 12 hour shift
Work days: Every weekend, Monday to Friday
Education: GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
Experience: Home care: 1 year (preferred)
