My client is an independent Town Planning and Development consultancy who specialise in a range of services across business, industrial & logistics, education, residential, leisure and retail. They are now on the lookout for an enthusiastic Assistant Town Planner to join the team.
About the Role as an Assistant Town Planner:
My client is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Assistant Town Planner to join the dynamic planning team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual looking to develop their career in town planning, working on a diverse range of projects and gaining valuable experience in the planning sector.
Key Responsibilities for an Assistant Town Planner
* Assisting in the preparation and submission of planning applications.
* Conducting research and site appraisals to support planning proposals.
* Engaging with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders.
* Assisting in the preparation of planning policy documents and reports.
Essential Criteria for an Assistant Town Planner
* A degree in Town Planning, Urban Planning, or a related field (ideally RTPI accredited)
* Previous experience in a planning role, either through work placement or employment.
* Understanding of UK planning legislation and policy framework.
* Excellent research, analytical, and report-writing skills.
* A keen interest in the planning and development sector.
