We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Committee Administrator to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role involves providing comprehensive administrative support and constitutional advice to members and officers on the council’s decision-making processes, ensuring the highest standards of service and governance are upheld. The post holder will also be responsible for the preparation of committee summonses, agendas, report preparation and ensuring an accurate and timely record of meetings are made.
We are looking for people who are passionate with a positive approach, able to work on their own initiative, plan ahead, manage and organise workloads to meet strict deadlines and demonstrate good attention to detail. Ideally with experience and understanding of working in a political environment, have strong all-round communication and interpersonal skills, and be proficient in the use of IT.
The successful candidate will have knowledge of how local government works and a good knowledge of the Modgov system.
The Council’s meetings are held in the evening therefore a flexible approach and regular attendance at evening meetings is a requirement of this post.
