Our client, a Gold standard Feline friendly RCVS accredited hospital, is seeking a veterinary surgeon to join their exceptional team and contribute to their continued growth. They take great pride in providing top-notch care and are looking for individuals who share their passion for excellence.
Situated on the picturesque Yorkshire/Nottinghamshire border, their location provides easy access to National Trust's Clumber Park and the nearby Peak District. Excellent transport links make Sheffield, Doncaster, and Meadowhall easily accessible for shopping and leisure activities.
As part of a close-knit team, you will have an equal share of consulting, surgical, and inpatient care shifts. They place great importance on case continuity and encourage a supportive and mentoring environment.
The team boasts a diverse range of expertise, including a veterinarian with a certificate in small animal medicine, an advanced practitioner in diagnostic imaging, and an ANZCVS diploma holder in feline medicine. Additionally, 2 Surgeons are currently pursuing further qualifications in surgery and oral dental surgery.
You will have the opportunity to learn from an advanced practitioner in diagnostic imaging, who is eager to share valuable tips and tricks for optimal ultrasound examinations. They also have an experienced surgeon who tackles a wide range of cases, from perineal hernias to complex fractures and cruciate surgeries.
The purpose-built premises offer ample parking and room for expansion. They have state-of-the-art facilities, including a 16-slice CT scanner, a dedicated end-of-life consulting room with a separate waiting area and spacious kennels for patients. Their in-house lab is well-equipped with urine sediment examination capabilities (Idexx Sedivue), dipstick analyser, biochemistry and haematology machines, and more. There is also a dental radiography system (IM3 CR7).
Chemotherapy patients are managed in-house and their experienced team is always ready to assist with chemotherapy protocols, including COP and CHOP protocols for lymphoma, as well as protocols for mast cell neoplasia.

- Full time - 38.5 hour week
- 4 day week
