Description Wood is currently recruiting for a Senior Commissioning Engineer to join its Upstream business within our Operations team focusing on managing the Commissioning delivery of assigned scopes to ensure deliverables are issued as per the baselined schedule and within the approved budgeted hours. This position will be hired on a limited contractor basis for a period of 12 months, outside IR35. We are open to hybrid or remote working, the position will require the successful candidate to travel offshore at times. LI-Hybrid LI-Remote The Role These positions will work on a North Sean contract where you will work with discipline engineers and vendors in the design phases to align handover and commissioning activities and strategies. Responsibilities Participate in workshops on design aspects that may assist in pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities Attend P&ID hazard and model reviews Review cause and effect diagrams and spare parts orders Provide input to commissioning record (closeout) documentation throughout the project Input to project documentation including pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures Develop, check and execute test procedures Troubleshooting, investigating problems and diagnosing and repairing faults Provide technical support to sites during commissioning phase Attends pre-start up safety review with client and construction contractor (and PMC and licensor as appropriate) Lead the execution of Commissioning scopes offshore on the contract, including the management of all Commissioning personnel and vendors associated with the scope Qualifications Expected: Typically minimum qualified to ISCED Level 5 (technical diploma / apprenticeship) or equivalent combination of qualifications and experience Appropriate level of commissioning experience in O&G sector Good standard of general computer literacy Fully conversant with regards to discipline technical knowledge Proven experience of interpreting discipline documentation Ability to monitor work progress and report against the plan Offshore certificates (BOSIET, MIST)
