About us
The IT Service within the Corporate Services Directorate is responsible for delivering innovative and efficient technology solutions to support the Council's operations. You will report to the Programme Manager and work closely with colleagues from various services, including IT, Finance, HR, and Procurement. The programme team will include several dozen people, both internal and from external partners.
The role
As a Business Change Manager, you will oversee the delivery of the business change workstream, ensuring a clear future operating model and successful implementation. You will manage a team of up to five direct reports and coordinate activities across a pool of 20 to 30 wider programme members. Your responsibilities will include setting standards and methodologies, managing risks, and ensuring high-quality outcomes.
What's needed?
We are seeking a skilled Business Change Manager to lead the business change workstream of a critical and complex programme across the Council. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in managing large-scale change initiatives, particularly those involving ERP systems like SAP. Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and change management skills are essential.
1. Proven experience in business change management, particularly with ERP systems like SAP
2. Strong leadership and team management skills
3. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
4. Ability to implement best practice standards for change management
5. Experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams using matrix management
6. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
