Apprenticeship Overview: Salary: £9,984 per year Hours: 30 Hours per Week Working week: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, 9am to 5pm, Wednesday and Friday, 9am to 2pm Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship standard qualification Duration: 16 months Online training supported by our dedicated tutors Location: 38 Clifton Road London, Big Creative Academy, E17 6HL The Role: To work under the guidance/instruction of Special Educational Needs Coordinator & Inclusion Manager to 2 undertake work/care/support programmes, to enable access to learning for students and to assist the teacher in the management of EHCP students and the classroom. Work may be carried out in the classroom or outside the main teaching area under the guidance of teaching staff. Our goal is to ensure that we support SEN students to enable them to reach their full potential. The key focus is to: work under the guidance/instruction of Special Educational Needs Coordinator to undertake work/care/support programmes, to enable access to learning for students and become independent learners. provide support for their studies and to support the inclusion of pupils in all aspects of Academy life. support students on a 1:1 basis or in small groups to ensure their understanding of the curriculum. keep track of all students with EHCP’s attendance and progress and to maintain appropriate records. collate and prepare student's information for assessments and inspections Skills/Experience Experience working with young people between 16 and 23 Experience working with young people with additional needs GCSE Grade C or above in maths and English or equivalent Experience of using Microsoft Office Suite An interest in creative arts and sports Attention to detail Organisation skills Number skills Logical Team working Creative Initiative Non judgemental Patience Pre-employment checks.
