Our client, a leading defence supplier, is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer with eDV clearance to join their team.

Responsibilities:
Working as an Infrastructure Engineer at any level within a team, contributing to delivering and maintaining operational systems in our many business areas.
1. Perform system administration and backup tasks
2. Assist in the investigation and resolution of issues relating to applications, networks and services
3. Contribute to maintenance, installation and problem resolution
4. Researching and resolving system design issues
5. Provide interpretation of requirements and design into the component design and implementation
What we are looking for in you:
Essential skills
1. Experience working within an Agile / SCRUM / DevOps delivery model
2. Experience as a Systems Engineer in software intensive programmes covering full engineering lifecycle from requirements decomposition to acceptance and customer sign off
3. Understanding of the complexities in design and implementation of large-scale information systems
4. Ability to take responsibility for technical aspects of a project, and to work closely with project management to deliver
5. Linux administration and deployment
6. Understanding of server, storage and desktop hardware
Desirable Skills/Experience
1. Experience working in a Linux environment (RedHat, CentOS)
2. Knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, OU, User and Group Management
3. Demonstrable experience of model-based systems architecture/engineering (e.g. MODAF, TOGAF)
4. Knowledge of RedHat migrations
5. Knowledge of networking health monitoring
6. Knowledge of Concourse (writing pipelines, administering the cluster)
7. Understanding of VMware vSphere ESXi
8. Knowledge of Atlassian Suite
9. Infrastructure as Code (e.g Terraform, Ansible)
10. Docker / Kubernetes containerisation and orchestration
11. Elasticsearch/Kibana
12. Cloud services (AWS or Azure)
13. Helm charts
14. MongoDB
15. Experience building enterprise level web applications or services
16. Apache Kafka
