As a qualified professional, you bring a wealth of experience in effectively managing a clinical caseload, specialising in the diverse needs of young individuals with neurodiversity, social and emotional challenges. Your skills extend to conducting a comprehensive range of speech and language therapy assessments and interventions specifically tailored to address the unique requirements of young people with Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and neurodevelopmental disorders.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Effectively manage a clinical caseload of young people with neurodiversity, social and emotional needs.
2. Conduct a comprehensive range of speech and language therapy assessments and interventions for individuals with SEMH needs and neurodevelopmental disorders.
3. Commit to person-centered practice throughout the speech and language therapy process.
4. Execute both individual and group interventions, systematically evaluating outcomes and adapting practices accordingly.
5. Collaborate closely with teaching staff and caregivers to identify integrated therapy solutions.
6. Formulate therapy-related individual objectives in coordination with the broader care team.
7. Maintain a working knowledge of Child Protection and Safeguarding Legislation, ensuring compliance and ethical standards.
8. Stay informed about relevant legislation impacting the therapeutic interventions provided.
About You:
9. Degree in Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent and HCPC registered.
10. Eligibility for membership of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists
11. Successful post-registration practice
12. Experience working with young people
13. Ideally, experience working with children with Social Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH) and young people with developmental trauma within a Trauma-Informed Model.
