Team Actuarial - Health
Working Pattern - Hybrid 2days per week in the Vitality Bournemouth Office.Full time, 35 hours per week.
What this role is all about:
As a Senior Actuarial Analyst, you will be supporting various actuarial reporting requirements such as capital, valuation, reserving and profitability.
This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in key actuarial areas, develop technical skills, and contribute to the financial stability and strategic decision-making of Vitality. You would be supporting Actuarial Analysts in their development.
Key Actions
Implement the Actuarial Control Cycle:
* Data Management:
o Identify and define data.
o Manipulate, adjust and analyse data.
o Create or define processes.
* Modelling:
o Build appropriate models or develop pre-existing ones.
o Identify, document and understand the implications of key assumptions used in models.
o Identify and quantify risks and opportunities.
o Define solutions, recommending the most appropriate.
* Reporting:
o Validate results with knowledge of business/ external environment.
o Monitor and explain results and identify and implement improvement opportunities.
