Role Overview
PURPOSE OF JOB
This role involves assisting INDOS in fulfilling its responsibilities under the depositary requirements of the Alternative Investment Fund Management Directive (AIFMD). The role will focus on our diverse range of private equity, real estate, debt, and venture capital fund clients, including investment trusts listed on the London Stock Exchange as well as UK and non-EU limited partnership and fund structures.
The primary responsibilities will be in the areas of “Cash Flow Monitoring”, “Record Keeping and Verification of Other Assets”, and “Oversight”. This includes reviewing significant and inconsistent cash transactions, verifying asset ownership, and performing oversight duties such as ensuring compliance with fund documentation, reviewing shareholder transactions, and fund valuations.
The Trainee Depositary Analyst is responsible for servicing a portfolio of client funds and conducting reviews of those funds in a timely manner according to internal procedures.
Main Responsibilities And Duties
* Review fund valuations and accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with fund documentation, adhering to department timelines.
* Maintain asset registers and verify the fund’s ownership of assets.
* Monitor fund bank account cash flows daily.
* Ensure funds comply with key fund documentation; identify, log, and resolve issues promptly.
* Review drawdowns and distributions, ensuring procedures are followed.
* Coordinate with fund administrators and investment managers via multiple channels to receive necessary information timely.
* Prepare periodic client and fund board reports.
* Work effectively within the team while demonstrating initiative.
* Facilitate open communication within the team and with client staff to identify potential issues or improvements.
Essential Requirements
* A bachelor’s degree or A-levels (preferred).
* Interest in studying towards a relevant professional qualification such as ACCA.
* Excellent attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
* Previous experience in financial services, real estate, private equity, or venture capital is an advantage.
