Process Improvement Coordinator

About the Unit
Yara Pocklington is part of the global company Yara International ASA and is a leader in the product development, manufacture and marketing of speciality nutrients & biostimulant products for use in regenerative agriculture worldwide. The business has grown significantly in recent years and has continued ambitious growth objectives for its Biological products. To meet this growth a new Global Production plant is currently being built in Howden, UK.
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Process Improvement Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, analysing, and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall business performance. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and support a culture of operational excellence.
Responsibilities
Based in an office within the Production facilities, initially in Pocklington then in Howden, the main responsibilities of the role will be:
* Identify & drive continuous improvement and other project activities related to production efficiency, line performance and process improvement.
* Assist factory improvement through the application of the Agile Excellence continuous improvement programme.
* Responsible for packaging - specifications, development and continuous improvement. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
* Stewardship to ensure compliance with the Competence Management system.
* Assist with the induction and onboarding of all new starters and agency workers.
* Manage stocks and ordering of PPE, safety equipment, designated work wear and consumables.
* General administrative support and reporting for production management.
Profile
* High GCSE grades preferably Maths, English and Science.
* Ability to demonstrate high level of Health & Safety standards.
* Good organizational skills and autonomous working.
* Analytical mindset, using tools such as SMED, root cause analysis, 5 Why’s.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office packages.
* Accuracy of work and an eye for detail.
* Ability to work with a variety of stakeholders at all levels.
* Experience using SAP would be beneficial but not essential.
* Experience with, and understanding of Continuous Improvement techniques and Lean Manufacturing principles would be valuable.
