You will proactively lead the team and manage the day-to-day tasks within the depot. You will be central to driving the business forward, improving effectiveness, communication and team development while continuing to deliver first-class customer service.
* Generating new and servicing/expanding current customers through a commitment to first class customer service to help drive the company sales forward.
* Keeping a well-stocked, clean and presentable branch
* Oversight of day-to-day depot operations
* including opening/locking up
* General management of team performance and personnel matters including recruitment and onboarding
* Mentoring, coaching and encouraging all depot staff ensuring all training and development needs are met.
* Ensuring customers are treated with the highest level of customer service, in line with our Customer Service Standards whether via the Trade Counter, Phone and Email, Site Visits or deliveries
* Supervising stock takes, stock control and purchase and being responsible for all assets across the depot.
* Coordinating the transport resources in the most efficient manner.
* Ensuring that all work and processes are carried out in-line with H&S guidelines.
* Liaising with the Sales team and assisting in the management of customer accounts on a regular basis.
