Job Title: Installation Technician Location: Bracknell Salary: £33,500 POSITION PURPOSE We are seeking an experienced Installation Supervisor to join a leading provider of pump rental solutions. This organisation is renowned for delivering high-quality equipment and services to clients in industries such as construction, water management, and utilities. As the senior member of a two-person team, you will oversee the installation and deinstallation of pumps, pipework, and associated equipment at client sites. This is a hands-on role, combining technical expertise with leadership responsibilities to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Lead and participate in installations and deinstallations of pumps, pipework, and related equipment, ensuring the highest safety and quality standards. Safely install various pipework types and associated fittings, including large-diameter steel pipes and hydraulic components. Identify innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and the overall customer offering. Supervise and collaborate with sub-contractors to complete projects effectively. Oversee all aspects of the installation process, from planning to completion, in coordination with the Solutions Team. Manage the day-to-day operations of the Installation Operative and other personnel on-site, ensuring the job is completed to the required standards. Conduct and communicate on-site Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) to ensure team and client understanding of safety measures. Train, mentor, and develop direct reports to build a skilled and motivated team. Assist with loading/unloading equipment and ensuring accurate recording of inventory, damages, and fuel charges. Deliver excellent on-site safety practices and meet customer expectations. Maintain open communication with internal teams and clients, providing updates and addressing challenges as they arise. Foster strong relationships with clients, gaining trust and confidence in the organization's products and services. Provide immediate feedback on safety concerns and contribute to improving safety, health, environmental, and quality standards. Promote and adhere to the companys core values and strategic vision. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Essential : NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Site Supervision, or willingness to achieve this qualification. Proven experience in a supervisory role within a relevant industry (e.g., water, construction, gas, oil). Certification in Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) or equivalent. Strong knowledge of site Health & Safety requirements. Physically fit and capable of working in environments such as construction sites and wastewater facilities. Full UK driving license (maximum of 6 points). Preferred : IOSH Managing Safety certification. Forklift license. CSCS card. National Water Hygiene Card. Confined space training certification.
