Keltbray are seeking a Reporting Analyst to join our team based in Andover. The Reporting Analyst will own and manage the efficiency and quality of performance data visualisation for a contract.
Primary tasks and duties
Work directly with the project team to deliver successful client reporting to PMO reporting standards (these include look & feel, technical stage gates, governance information, quality improvement, frequency and reception of updates), specifically
* List the data inputs required to produce desired outputs
* Work with the team and PMO Reporting Lead to define required data inputs and assess how to deliver required data flows and datasets efficiently and well
* Provide the PMO with any supporting materials needed to enable accurate requests for datasets from system owners
* Develop flash and period-end reporting in PowerBI as needed to suit both in-week management and end-cycle assurance
* Distribute and present information to both internal and external audiences according to reporting cycles, highlighting issues to all relevant stakeholders
* Set up and control ad hoc intensive reporting when needed for disruptive possessions or similar (this may involve being on-site for part or all of the duration of the works, which may happen during unsociable hours including Christmas)
* Develop or modify procedure, process, tools, support & governance to deliver reporting efficiently
* Establish & maintain a log of report requests, issues and feature requests, working with the PMO Reporting Lead to review and prioritise regularly
* Manage viewer roles and role permissions for individual users
* Other work as required to manage & improve contract performance reporting and governance
Qualifications and Training
* Driving license
Knowledge
* Self-directed, on-the-job and/or formal learning about data and report production in PowerBI including transformation, modelling and visualisation
* Understanding of construction industry data, or of data flows in a different complex regulated industry
Skills and Abilities
* Analytical skills, with a particular focus on interpreting reporting requirements contained in contract documents
* PowerBI development including data transformation, modelling and visualisation (E)
* Communication (written, verbal, visual) including the ability to listen and make persuasive arguments based on what is heard
* Collaborative skills – negotiation, influencing, productive group work
* Ability and persistence to change course to achieve a desired output
Relevant Experience
* Data manipulation including PowerBI modelling and visualisation of complex multi-source datasets
* Managing issue logs
* Managing permissions
* Successful management of a portfolio or programme with multiple deliverables, or a product (e.g a reporting suite) with multiple complex elements
* Experience in a construction environment
