Job Title: Operation Assistant Department: Operations Reports to: Production Supervisor Location: Coomber Way, Croydon Salary: £11.45 per hour Shift Pattern: Friday to Sunday 7am to 5pm About the Role We are looking for proactive, reliable, and enthusiastic Operation Assistants to join our Operations team on a temporary basis at our Coomber Way warehouse for the lead-up to the festive season. The role will involve assisting the dispatch team in ensuring that all orders are completed, and targets hit. Full training will be provided. Key Responsibilities Working with stock management systems. Picking customer orders using barcode scanners. Packing customer orders using the stock management system and courier system. Ensuring orders are picked and packed to the highest standard. Following dispatch guidelines set out in the training provided. Ensuring workstations are always tidy. Taking part in regular stock takes. Making eco-friendly choices when packing customer orders. Helping to replenish picking shelves when needed. Various administrative tasks set by your manager/supervisor when required. Following all H&S rules set by Management What We're Looking For Positive and enthusiastic attitude with the ability to work in a team and individually. Strong English language and communication skills. Impeccable timekeeping and attendance. Great accuracy and excellent attention to detail. Good numeracy skills. The ability to reach set targets and work to strict deadlines. Excellent Computer skills with a basic knowledge of Microsoft tools. Willingness to learn new stock management and courier systems. Previous experience of working within a dispatch/ warehouse environment. Flexibility regarding working hours. What We Offer Location: Our Dispatch warehouse is located a short walk from both Therapia Lane and Beddington Lane Tram stops, which are connected to East Croydon and Wimbledon - both 20 minutes away. Approx. 30 to 35 minutes travel time from South / South West London. Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday 7am to 5pm Employment Type: Contracts will be on a temporary basis with the latest end date being the 24th of December 2024.
