Dispute resolution and investigative engagements involve preparing expert reports and providing oral testimony in court and arbitrations on forensic accounting, investigations, damages and valuation matters. Ankura’s Disputes practice provides clients with expertise in Forensic Accounting and Valuations which include: Commercial Litigation International Arbitration Purchase Price Disputes Damages Analysis Business Valuation Disputes Accounting Disputes Investigations Expert Advisory Services Associates will also have the opportunity to work with our Risk, Forensics and Compliance team on matters which include: Investigations into bribery & corruption, regulatory violations, and complex fraud Investigations of Ponzi schemes, embezzlement, and kickback or related party schemes Forensic accounting and financial reporting investigations including reconstruction of books and records Anti-Bribery & corruption reviews Pre-acquisition anti-bribery and corruption due diligence. You will be a key member of the engagement team and will be provided with the opportunity to experience a variety of projects working collaboratively on diverse teams with skilled, intelligent, driven and successful individuals. Training Provided You will study towards ICAEW (ACA), ACCA or CFA, all highly regarded professional qualifications in the industry, over a period of 36 months. Training comprises a combination of study courses at a professional education provider, private study and the professional exams. Alongside, you will receive on the job training working on exciting client engagements. You will have paid study leave. All course and first attempt exam fees are paid for. Year one - Start your professional exams and start your career journey at Ankura. Year two - Complete your professional level exams and begin your advanced or expertise level exams. Responsibilities: Support all aspects of dispute resolution, complex global disputes, international arbitration and other forensic accounting engagements, primarily including damages assessments, valuations and financial investigations. Preparing and reviewing detailed financial models in Microsoft Excel, including preparing DCF models. Review documents and collate research. Attend and contribute to client meetings. Developing an external network of clients and business contacts. Studying towards a professional qualification. Requirements Graduate level qualification or equivalent obtained from a leading university (minimum 2.1 degree). Be working towards or willing to work towards ACA, ACCA or CFA charter holder. Want to pursue a career in forensic accountancy or dispute resolution. Experience of valuation, auditing or other accounting services would be beneficial. Intermediate Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and strong research and analytical skills. Strong oral and written communication skills. Initiative, adaptability, creative problem-solving skills, and an ability to work well in teams. Advanced technical skills such as database and statistical programming languages, including SQL, R, Python, SAS would be beneficial. In addition to English, a second language would be beneficial.
