We are looking for up to three new Board members with experience in any of the following areas to join our talented and committed Board, who care passionately about providing great quality homes and services for people in and around Cambridgeshire: Finance, Treasury and Audit and Risk Change management Social Care Sector ICT, digital (desirable) You must also have the skills and experience to help lead the organisation at a strategic level, with strong leadership and performance management skills, and the ability to build effective relationships and work collaboratively with other Board members and the Corporate Management Team to deliver our vision and corporate values. Previous experience of Non-Executive Director/Trustee/Governor roles would also be advantageous as we are also looking for someone that has the skill set to be our Deputy Chair. As part of the Board, you will use your skills and knowledge to shape our strategic direction and support CHS to provide excellent services and remain financially viable. As well as attending Board meetings, you will also be a member of one of our Committees, which will be allocated based on the knowledge and experience that you bring to the role. Committee meetings are usually held online via MS Teams (approx 4 per year) whilst Board meetings and Strategy Days are held in person (approx 7 meetings per annum). You will bring local knowledge and an appreciation of the key issues affecting housing, poverty, wellbeing and vulnerability in our local community. You will be provided with a comprehensive induction to CHS, social housing and the services we provide. The minimum time commitment is 14 days per annum. Remuneration of £2,600 pa and expenses are available.
