Our Finance Team is growing and we're looking for a new Finance Manager to join our Leeds team!
Leading a team of management accountants to run the monthly processes, reporting and analysis of PureGym UK. Reviewing and reconciling financial and operational data and providing support to our business stakeholders.
The Role:
1. Management of a team of three; Responsibility for their professional development and managing their day to day workload, and regularly reviewing their work and processes.
2. Preparation and review of month end schedules, accruals, prepayments, and reconciling balance sheet figures.
3. Primary responsibility and review of key financial lines across the UK business.
4. Primary finance contact for the Central Operations team, including management of accounting relationships for Revenue, Marketing, Repairs & Maintenance, Gym Payroll, IT and other areas of the business alongside the other Finance Manager.
5. Regular liaising with the wider business to support understanding of regular results.
6. Monthly review of results and commentary on variances.
7. Key contact for the year-end audit process.
8. Responsible for the preparation of budgets and regular reforecasting across the UK.
9. Presentation of performance and variance analysis to Directors at month end close meetings.
10. Involvement in other ad hoc areas as requested.
The Person:
1. Qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) with proven experience delivering monthly accounting.
2. Passionate about PureGym and understands how accounting function can best serve wider business needs.
3. A high achiever who is looking to be part of an energetic, fast growing business.
4. Adaptive to significant changes within the business.
5. Someone who is happy to be hands on and work on their own initiative but also be able to work together as a team to meet key deadlines such as the month end accounts.
6. Can build strong working relationships and networks to enable success – across and outside of the business.
7. Challenges status quo, always seeking ways to improve processes to increase efficiency and add value.
8. Strong attention to detail, and proven ability to work to deadlines through effective time management.
9. Excellent excel skills.
10. Experience of working on multi-site businesses preferred.
11. Experience of working with Sage 200 would be an advantage, but not essential.
