Reliability Engineer – Permanent – Hertfordshire
A long standing pharmaceutical client of Blackfield Associates is looking for a Reliability Engineer to join their dynamic Production Engineering team on a permanent basis working days, Monday to Friday.
As a Reliability Engineer, you will work closely with Production, Projects, Facilities, and Engineering teams to identify and mitigate reliability risks. You will play a key role in implementing effective reliability processes, improving overall equipment performance, and reducing downtime and costs.
Key responsibilities include:
* Developing and sustaining a world-class reliability program aligned with cGMP and GEP standards.
* Conducting root cause analyses to reduce losses and optimize processes.
* Performing asset analyses (MTBF, MTTR, OEE, TEEP) to enhance operational efficiency.
* Guiding teams in reliability risk assessments, including FMEA, RCA, and TPM.
* Providing training in diagnostic troubleshooting, predictive technologies, and modern maintenance strategies.
Suitable candidates will have the following:
* A degree in engineering or related discipline.
* Experience in reliability engineering practices (e.g., RCA, FMEA).
* Excellent analytical and communication skills.
* Familiarity with preventive and predictive maintenance methods.
* Awareness of health, safety, and quality management systems.
Desirable skills:
* Knowledge of CMMS
* Predictive maintenance techniques
* Six Sigma methodology
