Clinical Coding & Data Quality Supervisor
Band 6, Full Time, Permanent
As a part of the restructure of the Department, Clinical Coding & Data Quality (DQ) Services is looking for an experienced Clinical Coding & Data Quality Supervisor with a 20% Recruitment and Retention Premium (RRP) to join our friendly department at Croydon University Hospital, Croydon.
The successful candidate should be a good team player with excellent communication skills and good leadership & management skills. You will have experience of coding across all specialties with a National Clinical Coding Qualification (NCCQ) and proven experience of liaising with Consultants/Clinicians regarding coding queries and clinical documentation.
You will be required to be consistent and accurate in working to recognized coding methods and to meet deadlines of agreed time scales. This is a vital role in which you will support the Trust's business requirements and effective patient care. As a Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing Clinical Coding and Data Quality team staff.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will work closely with Data Quality Officers to provide data quality & correction support and highlight to all the Trust stakeholders the data quality issues raised, especially by the Clinical Coding team, to improve overall Data Quality. You will also be assisting the Clinical Coding Audit Manager and fellow Supervisors in dealing with queries on Outpatient Coding and OP coding processes.

These posts attract RRP until 31st March 2027 and are subject to approval on a yearly basis after that.
