We have been mandated by one of Europe’s leading sustainable banks to find them a Treasury Manager. Included in this person’s remit will be management of Treasury Front Office activities, delivering Treasury’s Prudential document production (ILAAP, Recovery Plan and Resolution Pack) and co-ordination of Liquidity stress testing. This is a permanent role and offers flexible hybrid working, typically this will require you to work from the Bristol based office at least 2 days per week.
Role Description
* Support and deputise for the Head of Treasury in the Bank’s front office activities, including Bond settlements and Money market placements.
* Support Head of Treasury on the investment strategy for the Bank.
* Liquidity management day to day ensuring the Bank’s liquidity is in line with its risk appetite.
* Responsible for production of Treasury’s suite of Prudential Risk documents (ILAAP, Recovery Plan & Resolution Pack), ensuring approval in line with governance framework.
* Work in conjunction with 2nd line and Balance Sheet Analysis Specialist in the annual refresh and review of Liquidity, Market and Capital KRIs. In addition to RPIs included in the Recovery Plan.
* Subject matter expert for stress testing for ILAAP, Recovery Plan and FRCC. Also ensuring co-ordination with ICAAP stress testing to ensure consistency.
* Co-ordinate and lead sessions on establishing business vulnerabilities across the Bank for stress testing, ensuring all key stakeholders across the Bank and Group are engaged.
* Support Head of Treasury on the oversight of the Bank’s Pricing Model. Supporting review of all UK specific assumptions and also ensuring model is regularly reviewed and updated.
* Meeting information requests from Group, regulators, and other external parties.
* Day to day management of a Treasury analyst but with no line management responsibilities.
* Ad-hoc projects to support the local and Group Finance / Treasury teams.
* Standing invitation to Asset and Liabilities Committee.
Role Requirements
* Banking Treasury experience ideally gained in areas such as liquidity or IRRBB.
* An appropriate accounting (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or equivalent ALM/Treasury/Finance qualification (ACT/CertBALM) or a desire to work towards one.
* Ability to work to tight deadlines, good organisational skills, and to interact with many levels of the business with credibility and friendly professionalism.
* Clear and concise written and oral communication skills.
* A commercial approach to working and aptitude to understand and challenge the bank’s business model.
* Good knowledge of financial markets.
