Our client is a global engineering business with multiple sites in the North East. They are currently looking for a Senior Planner to join them on a permanent basis. This role requires a strategic thinker who can translate vision and strategy into practical plans while ensuring that planning is an integral part of the project management team.\n\nOther responsibilities of the Senior Planner include:\n\n * Define and deliver output reports, including load/capacity, work-to lists, and project schedules.\n\n * Develop the planning timetable and activities, implementing the planning process into output and project teams.\n\n * Work closely with project teams to maximise collaboration across the business.\n\n * Ensure a high standard of planning and reporting in a timely manner.\n\nAbout You\n\nThe ideal Senior Planner will bring a high level of technical expertise, either through a degree in planning or a related discipline, or substantial planning management experience in a relevant industry sector.\n\nOther requirements of the Senior Planner include:\n\n * Experience working at a strategic level to translate vision and strategy into practical plans.\n\n * Proficient in Oracle Primavera P6, Microsoft Project planning tools, and ERP/MRP software.\n\n * Knowledge of complex engineering and construction projects, particularly in offshore energy, is advantageous.\n\n * Rigorous in following documented processes and governance, with the ability to innovate creatively to meet project challenges
