Lotus Cars Limited is the manufacturing site of Lotus in the UK. Here we produce all sportscars types such as the Emira and the Evija. To bring the company to the level we want it to be, we are looking for Engineering Graduates in the VI/VE, Propulsion, Electrical/Systems/Software departments, to join us in our manufacturing plant based in Hethel.

As a Lotus Cars Graduate joining our ‘Go Beyond’ Graduate Programme, you will become part of a team helping to define, develop and launch the next generation of high-performance electrified Lotus sports cars, as well as 3rd party projects.
Successful candidates will have the opportunity to join one of the following engineering divisions:
* Vehicle Integration - a pivotal role in developing vehicle architecture, ensuring Body components and sub-systems fit and work seamlessly together, delivering the Lotus ethos of lightweight & that the interior and exterior design meets both functional and aesthetic standards. Key functions include package, design, system engineering & component delivery.
* Vehicle Engineering - a pivotal role for developing the dynamics performance attributes of Lotus vehicles, to meet the core brand DNA of Lotus Aerodynamics & Dynamics, whilst balancing regulatory and quality requirements and standards of Crash, Safety, Durability, Thermal & NVH.
* Electrical/Systems/Software - this is crucial for ensuring that all electrical systems (within a vehicle) function correctly and efficiently, contributing to the overall performance and safety of the vehicle. Key skills required include:
o Embedded software development - C/C++/RUST/Simulink;
o Systems or Control Systems Engineering - Model based system engineering. Requirements include authoring and decomposition, system interactions and design & systems thinking.
* Propulsion - plays a crucial role in designing, developing, and optimising propulsion systems that power vehicles, including internal combustion engines (ICE) and Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV). In addition to the motive power source, the Department also engineers the drive systems, energy storage, induction, exhaust, cooling and HVAC systems.

* Develop strong working relationships with the functional mentors and rotation managers.
* Maintaining effective leadership, interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to create a sense of community amongst teams at all levels and departments within Lotus.

* Demonstrate the ability to critically review work streams and provide improvement ideas and solutions.
What You'll Bring:
* Studying for a Degree within one of the following Engineering, or similar vocations; Aeronautical, Computer Science, Control Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Motorsport, Robotics Software, Systems Engineering, User experience design (UX) and Vehicle Engineering.
* Industry experience, coursework, or project delivery, within the degree fields listed above.
* Any previous experience through education, employment, self-study or hobbies in Electrical and Electronics design, software development, vehicle repair, modification or mechanical engineering would be beneficial.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Ability to prioritise tasks and work to deadlines.
* Valid UK Driving License as travel across Lotus UK sites may be required.
