At Cocklebury Farmhouse our mission is to empower people to live enjoyable and fulfilling lives. Our commitment to this is consistent for the people within our care, the people within our staff team, and the people within our local community.
This is achieved by providing the support to enable individuals the chance to explore who they are in a safe and constructive way, to live active and engaging lives, as well as interacting and supporting our local community.
Our vibrant care team is central to attaining this high level of care. Their enthusiasm and commitment creates a family atmosphere between the staff and residents that we are all proud of. In turn we aim to support the care team to make a difference in a culture where their opinion matters.
We have 3 small independently owned homes that provide accommodation and care for individuals who have a learning disability and behaviours which can challenge. Many of the individuals we support are autistic.
The Opportunity
We are searching for an energetic person to join our care team who can help make a difference in people’s lives.
No previous experience in care is necessary. We feel that the right qualities in a person are more important to the role. Our homes are unique in the support we provide and we have a comprehensive induction period. All training will be provided.
Responsibilities and Duties
* Meet the needs of our residents in an inclusive and person centred manner
* Uphold routines, structure and boundaries
* Understand the values of care and follow specific training.
The role is 40 hours a week. The shifts include alternate weekends and evenings.
Qualifications and Skills
Prior experience is not a necessary requirement, as full training will be provided. You need to have a proactive and energetic attitude. A lot of the daily duties include accompanying residents on activities outside of the home.
We succeed by promoting an active and engaging lifestyle to our residents. A full clean driving license is therefore preferred.
Salary
Starting from £12.50 per hour. Salary increases with skills, development, and the investment you make in the people within your care.
