This is a fantastic opportunity to join and shape the team within CAMHS that responds to all aspects of Unscheduled Care, this can often be those most mentally unwell or at highest risk to themselves or others. The post holder will have responsibility for assessment and providing interventions / treatment to children and young people within a CAMHS community setting. You will be expected to carry out mental health assessments and provide treatment in collaboration with patients, families / carers and other service providers. A holistic, person centred, systemic approach is necessary, which involves offering interventions which take account of the young person and significant others, such as family members, other service providers and education. The team pride themselves on excellent communication skills and working collaboratively, meeting twice daily in brief safety huddles to promote shared decision making / responsibility. In addition to your skills and knowledge, you should have a real passion to make a difference to young people's mental health, and motivation to contribute to and support the ongoing development of the team, service, and organisation.
