The Role:
As an Experienced Teaching Assistant, you will be working in diverse school settings, providing invaluable support to teachers and students. You will assist with classroom management, work with students in small groups or on a one-to-one basis, and help to create an inclusive learning environment. We are looking for individuals with a proven track record in assisting with various year groups and subjects, who are ready to make a positive impact in a new school.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support classroom teachers in delivering lessons and managing the classroom environment.
* Provide one-to-one and small group support to students, tailoring assistance to individual learning needs.
* Assist with planning and preparing learning materials and resources.
* Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
* Help students engage with the curriculum and develop their social and emotional skills.
* Support children with special educational needs (SEN) and behavioural needs, as required.
* Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents as appropriate.
* Assist with classroom organisation, including setting up displays and preparing activities.
* Collaborate with teaching staff and other professionals to ensure students’ needs are met.
Key Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant, with a clear understanding of classroom dynamics and student needs.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Ability to build positive, supportive relationships with students, teachers, and other staff.
* Flexible, proactive, and adaptable to different school settings and student requirements.
* A passion for education and helping students succeed.
* A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent) is desirable.
* Experience supporting students with SEN or behavioural challenges is a plus.
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
